Will the ITs open in the snow?

There’s been plenty of snow today (Sunday), but very unevenly across the country.  Here are the announcements made by the various ITs about what they are doing next week, as of 4.30pm:

Athlone IT: “Despite the bad weather, AIT re-opens as scheduled for semester 2 on Monday 11 January.”

IT Blanchardstown: “… all examinations scheduled for Monday 11th January 2010 have been postponed. All examinations scheduled from Tuesday 12th January 2010 will proceed as previously scheduled.”

IT Carlow: “All EXAMINATIONS due to commence in week beginning Monday 11th January 2010 are now DEFERRED until week beginning Monday 18th January 2010.”

Cork IT:  no annoucement that I’ve seen.

Dublin IT: “All DIT examinations scheduled for Monday 11th January – postponed.  Classes in the Conservatory of Music and Drama – cancelled until Thursday 14th January.”

IADT: Open as normal, but further announcment Sunday 10pm.

Dundalk IT: Open as normal.

Galway-Mayo IT: No announcement that I’ve seen.

Letterkenny IT: “… exams scheduled for Monday 11th January will now be held on Saturday 16 January. The situation will be reviewed on a day-to-day basis and a further announcement will be made on Monday morning.”

Limerick IT: no announcement that I’ve seen.

IT Sligo: “All exams are proceeding as scheduled. If you cannot attend your exam due to weather conditions, please phone the college for a deferral form.”

IT Tallaght:  “… examinations scheduled for Monday 11th January in the National Basketball Arena, the Institute and other centres have been postponed. The postponed exams will be scheduled from Monday 18th January 2010.”

IT Tralee: no announcement that I’ve seen.

Waterford IT: “Notice to Students: Due to the adverse weather conditions, the commencement of lectures has been postponed until Wednesday 13th January 2010. Notice to Staff: The Institute will be open on Monday 11th January 2010 and activities will continue as normal.”
